Over the next year SHMU will be supporting the production of three short films through a £25,000 grant from First Light Films. This is the second time SHMU has successfully secured First Light Funding. The previous award led to the making of ‘Mothering Nature', which won Best Film in the over 13's category at the 2007 awards. You can watch this award-winning film below.
One of the three films will work in partnership with the Reading Bus to create an animated film based on a Doric poem with a group of primary school students. The second film will be developed in collaboration with NHS Grampian and explore mental health issues from a young person's perspective. The final film is open to any young person who has an interest in film-making and lives in one of SHMU's target areas.
